Aesthetic Practitioner & Skincare Specialist 

Skin geek? Facialist? Skin health expert? Guilty to all! I’m immensely passionate and continually curious about all things ‘skin’ and the most effective ways to safely treat it.

I set up MD Skincare based on the tenet that I want people to have healthiest skin possible, look their very best and feel happy in their skin. It’s not just about facials and buying products, it’s about providing a platform to connect with people. I enjoy working with people throughout their whole ‘skin journey’ because that’s exactly what it is, a ‘journey’…healthy skin takes hard work, patience, commitment and consistency. I form a partnership with my clients, getting to know them, their skin concerns and work with them to deliver results. People often come to me feeling low and insecure, and I love that I can help them. The right skin treatments for the right people can make a really big difference to people’s lives – this is why I wanted to be in this industry.

I re-trained in aesthetics and started working in this industry in 2014. Before this, I worked in advertising, but my real passion was always skincare. Having suffered with acne myself (and all the trials and tribulations that went with it) this put me on pathway of discovery, learning early on that taking care of your skin is much more important than covering it up. Through my own research and endeavour I have learnt a great deal about what ‘skin health’ really meant and how to support it with the right diet, products, ingredients and expert treatments while managing my own condition. From here I went on to study, achieving the highest grade of Distinction in the CIBTAC Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Skin Science & Aesthetic Practice with Sally Durant Aesthetic Education & Training. Once fully qualified I have worked as an aesthetic practitioner in some of London’s’ most prestigious skin clinics in Harley Street and Mayfair, working alongside some of the UK’s top aesthetic doctors. This further developed my knowledge and understanding of the skin physiology, what it needs to function healthily and how to treat it. I continue to work as the lead aesthetic practitioner for Dr Sofia Hussain dividing my time between her Sutton Coldfield Clinic and my Chislehurst practice.

For me, job satisfaction comes from seeing the transformation in people. I am committed to making sure my client’s journeys run as smoothly as possible, so my clients feel looked after every step of the way. I have always dreamed of setting up my own clinic delivering the most effective skin treatments, and now that I have, I couldn’t be prouder of the way in which I help my clients.

I love that my job doesn’t feel like a job. I have a passion for learning and spend my spare time keeping my knowledge and skill set up-to-date by attending conferences, training courses and recently qualified as a member of the JCCP. The best part of my day is always seeing the transformation in a client. The change isn’t just skin deep, because true skin health treatments make a difference to people’s attitudes and confidence as well.
